What StoreCheck reads

When you click "Check this page" on a product page, the extension reads the currently visible content of that page in your browser (title, description, images, price, availability text). This happens locally, using Chrome's activeTab permission, only when you actively trigger it.

What leaves your device

Nothing about the product page itself is sent to any server. The only network request the extension makes is to verify a Supporter subscription, and it sends only the email address you type into the "Already a Supporter?" field. That request goes to our verification service, which checks it against our payment provider (Polar) and returns a simple active/inactive response — no product page content is included in that request.

What we store

The extension stores a daily check count and, if you verify a subscription, your email and unlocked status locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local). We do not operate a server-side database of users or usage in the free tier.

Payment data

Subscription payments are handled entirely by our payment provider, Polar. We never see or store your card details.
